The good:This cookbook has some interesting recipes. It includes more than fried chicken and fries. It also includes vegetarian recipes.The bad:The book calls for ingredients that are available in the UK and are difficult to buy or more expensive in the United States. The ingredients for one recipe includes digestive biscuits, caster sugar and range free eggs. Others include mixed herbs. Yes, I can search the internet for alternatives but I bought the book because I didn't want to search the internet.Another recipe says to use a Bain Marie and others say to use bun cases.There are also editing errors in the recipe directions. Others say to mix potatoes with oil and spices and then put into the fryer. Does this mean just the potatoes or include the oil and spices? Again these probably would have been caught by an editor but it makes me wonder if the ingredient quantities/list were reviewed to verify that they are correct.The title says that this is a Complete cookbook but it doesn't even include basic information about cooking in an air fryer.I would not recommend this book unless you're already comfortable with using an air fryer and are willing to lookup ingredient alternatives for uncommon items.
Not what I expected…looks to be a self-publication with too much informality & a lack of detail in the recipes. For example, one recipe calls for “mixed spiceâ€. What the heck is that? Another recipe calls for 1 tablespoon of “syrupâ€. Maple? Simple? What KIND of syrup? Also, I would’ve appreciated photos on how things are supposed to look as well as better descriptions of the recipe processes. I looked into returning the book, but it would cost me almost as much to ship it back as it would to just keep it. I need to buy another… Oh well! The recipes do look tasty if I can figure out how to execute them.
Not a huge fan of this cookbook. I feel like the recipes add way too fancy for someone to make as an everyday meal. Many recipes include ingredients I’ve never even heard of. Also don’t like there there’s no pictures. It’s easy to read to follow, but too complex of recipes for someone like me.
I bought an air fryer because I saw it at a friend's house and it seemed super convenient and a easy clean up. After I set it up at home, I realized I don't know how or what to cook all the time. I was cooking the same things for weeks. This book has really helped! I now am in love with my air fryer especially since I have a whole book of recipes. Great purchase!
I just received Air Fryer Cookbook: The Complete Air Fryer Cookbook and it's not at all complete. I wanted to make air fried french fried (from a bag) and there were no instructions for something so simple. There is one recipe for fries and it's called: " Air Fryer Seasoned French Fries" and it starts with 4 potatoes cut into fried - not something that wanted to do. So, if you think of this book, look at the recipes carefully to determine if these are the types of foods that you'd want to start with. Not me.
I liked this book very much. Good variety with gluten free, vegan, traditional, and international choices. Even if you don’t make them all, you leave with ideas about modifying to suit your tastes and experiment on your own.
Not at all what I expected. No table of contents or index. Lengthy hard to understand recipes. I don't recommend this book. Haven't used it yet. I was hoping for basic information on using the air fryer, but it was all recipes!
So many great recipes in this cookbook! My air fryer came with a little booklet, but very few recipes. I’ve tried a few of the recipes so far and they were really good. Can’t wait to try more. It really explains everything really well. Since I’m new at using an air fryer this cookbook is a gem!
