I thought this was a good read. The premise was good, and we have a strong female lead But.........I had a problem with Xzavic continuously referring to Rebecca (a woman he loved and lost) as "my love" "the love of my life" etc.....I'm cool with the fact he had loved someone who wasn't his fated mate and I'm glad the author didn't make him forget her as soon as he met his fated mate. But with Sandra being his fated mate once he gave into the bond SHE should have become the love of his life. Biology alone should've seen to that. So I felt like it belittled the bond and Sandra. Also didn't like that there wasn't at least an epilogue so we could see when they finally DID have children since it was harped upon in this book.

In a time such as now when women are still seeking equal pay, so many stories of women placed in BDSM submissive roles have risen in the erotic genre. I find them titillating but not compelling enough to want to explore myself; and yet, this story I can really appreciate. A strong woman of strong, almost ferocious character, finds herself in the grip of lust for 3seemingly overpowering Aurelians. Ms. Cain handles a woman's need for equality within sexuality deftly and forthrightly. At no time did I feel that the heroine was mistreated or coerced to participate in any sexual situation that she hadn't fully consented to. She made her own decisions, and her grew to not only lust for her but love her as well. The story was a joy to read. It had elements of all genres I adore: erotic, romance, science fiction, and thriller. Ms. Cain combined all 4 in a sweeping saga of a story.

I enjoyed reading this book.although this is the third book of the series it can be read as a standalone. I didn't read the previous book I was able to understand and enjoy the story. It did piece my curiosity and I will probably read the other book shortly. The story feature a strong heroine. It's sexy and pack with action. Overall I found the book easy to read and entertaining.I received an advance copy of the book, and purchase it to support the author

If you are not into lots of explicit sex scenes and some major battles with intense violence, then this story is not for you. However, if you like reading about menage-a-trois scenes with super hot descriptive sex and lots of battle action, read away.

The Description made this sound like a fresh angle on the Aurelian/human storyline and I was excited to read a dominant woman take on this universe. How would the Aurelians deal with this new type of dominant human female? Well... they don’t. What a letdown.Cain doesn’t know how to write this kind of heroine. She cuts Sandra off at the knees early and often. Starting with Sandra letting an ex question her decisions in front of her subordinates (no leader would let that slide) and then Sandra just hands over command of her CAREER DEFINING mission to Adrihan with barely a peep. When the mission turns FUBAR is when rank matters most, having a defined leader can mean life or death - but Sandra says rank is the first thing she’s giving up when things get tough, which just shows she doesn’t have what it takes to lead in the first place. And it all went downhill from there. So disappointing. Sandra has ZERO idea how to earn respect from troops who buck her authority and she goes belly up at the first sign of push back.I wish Cain had just stuck with writing heroines who are straight up there to bend over and take it, cause this one was just weird. (Sandra was giving out BJs as a thank you for not raping her. What?)Watching Cain show that a supposedly strong, decorated Officer like Sandra can’t handle command because a) she doesn’t understand or have the tools to maintain the chain of command in a combat situation and b) can’t control what’s between her legs because she’s weak and a woman wasn’t sexy, it was pathetic. All this and the overuse of italics (no kidding - practically every other sentence has them for emphasis, WAY overused) undercuts what could have been a great read.

I loved this book, it's got the beautiful alien men, and enough sex to make you not and bothered! You won't be disappointed.

There good book s but what I don't enjoy is the taking of a Strong women and making her week. 👿

For those of you who think repetition of the book summary provided, "Not my cup of tea" and reviews as long as a novella are ANNOYINGLY UNHELPFUL, I'll spare you that with my review.Based on the more helpful, low star reviews for the first two books in the series, I was hesitant to trust the synopsis provided for this one. But it was different enough that I gave it a shot. Here's why I'd recommend this third book of the series: * It had mostly decent editing, the errors found didn't distract from the story too badly or too often. * Just enough world building was done, without going overboard. * Good character development, including the side characters, made each one easy to distinguish and remember. And no one came off like a high schooler. * There was more to the story than sex (which would have been boring). * The dialog wasn't cheesy or stilted. * The female lead was a trully grown, strong woman, and NOT a boring, awkward virgin. * As previously stated, I almost DNF earlier on. But shortly after that point and all the way to the end, the female lead did not give up on her own life dreams. By the end, the men were willing to find a way to support her dreams in a way that could allow them all to have their HEA. The author didn't glorify women being door mats to men. * Despite all the talk about continuing the species, we were spared all the boring "I'm pregnant, we're having a baby!" thing at the end.I've since gone back to reread the descriptions and low star reviews for the others in this series, but still can't stomach the thought of reading them. But I do recommend this one, and hope that this author continues in this vein going forward.
